making education a reality

Research indicates that the first few years of a child's life are crucial in shaping lifelong habits and outcomes.

Children who are exposed to education and healthcare from a young age become familiar with learning through play and are more likely to complete their education which in turn, can lead to improved job opportunities in later years.

poor children miss out

Based on our experience the main reason children from rural areas are not receiving an education is poverty.

In many cases, for families in remote areas to ensure their children receive a quality education, children are sent to boarding schools located in larger towns.

However, the cost of fees, uniforms, books and board is expensive. For low-income families education is no longer a reality. The result is that the poor children simply miss out.

This is where you can help.

take poverty out of the equation

If you sponsor a child or make a donation your contribution will go into our Education Fund, the primary focus of which is to grant scholarships to children living in destitute conditions in remote areas to enable them to board at school.

The Education Fund administers the sponsorship program and pays the education needs of our sponsored children, including tuition, books, uniform, full board and 3 meals a day.

We also pay for warm clothes, shoes, bedding, health care, toiletries, a little bit of pocket money and any emergency costs.  Also included is transport to and from school so children can return home to family during school breaks.
