share - community
Working within the framework of education we believe that by extending learning opportunities and skills training to the broader community we can, at the same time, help address other Millennium Development Goals: to cut poverty, hunger and disease, promote gender equality, reduce child mortality and improve maternal health.
Working alongside local leaders, we are sharing insights and experience to develop skills training programs which will increase the community's access to a sustainable livelihood, education social services and health care.
We are guided by respect for local communities, their environment and preservation of their traditions and way of life from which we can learn a great deal.
community fund
The Lille Fro Foundation has established the Community Fund, which administers our skills training and learning initiatives aimed at improving the everyday lives for families living in remote villages.
The fund currently pays for the design, development, monitoring and implementation of our pilot greenhouse project. It will also pay for any future skills and learning programs which are community based.
The Community Fund is supported by funding from our greenhouse pilot project and general donations.
community greenhouse project
At present we have commenced a pilot program building community greenhouses in remote villages at high altitude.
Our community greenhouses will teach families the skills required to grow fresh vegetables year round. To help parents provide a much needed source of food for their children and give them the nutrients required to be healthy.
We aim to have six community greenhouses built by November 2012.

The Lille Fro Foundation is dependent on the generosity and support of the Australian public to continue our work.
